Its a very serious question. All I want is an orange calipo and all I can find are strawberry and Cola ones. No one wants those.
I have been feasted upon. My blood has been sucked. And not by vampires either. Oh no. By mosquitos. I am covered in bites and they are very itchy. Bites and blisters. It is a international disaster.
On the U- bahn to the station I realised I'd forgotten to take a photo of the room I was staying in. But if you have ever been to a youth hostel, I'm sure you can picture it.
I got to the station an hour before my train was due to leave but it went fast. Again I didnt have a reservation and I was worried I would have to stand the 5 hours to Prague. Thankfully I found a seat that wasnt reserved and at 14:32 off we went. The train was like an old fashioned one with compartments and had the sensibe method of saying which seats were reserved and from where.
A man helped me lift my rucksack onto the luggage wrack after I almost dropped it on my head. Hopefully he will still be on the train when we get to Prague to help me get it down. The only downside is that this train doesn't have air conditioning but with all the windows wide open its not too bad. Clearly that wasnt good enough for the two americans who buggered off to a cooler part of the train because they 'didnt want to sweat'. To her credit, one woman did say it was fine when we were moving and stayed for a bit before going off to join her friend.

I've just seen a cloud for the first time since I got here. I'm going to get a funny tan. The sun coming in the window is only on one arm and one leg. I'm going to be a milder version of a zebra.
I just tried sticking my head out the window, sort of like Fudge (the dog) does when in the car. My head almost got blown off. The man opposite looked at me like I was crazy, but it was clearly just jealousy, as he is now doing the same.
I've just received my welcome to the Czech Republic text so I can assume Breclav, the station we just stopped at is in the Czech Republic. The man has now got off the train so I might end up actually dropping my rucksack on my head again later.
I am now the only one in the carriage, although I may get company any second now. When the man got off he wished me a nice stay. What a cutie.
I don't know whether to tell people, if asked, that the Americans seats are taken since they aren't here. But they left their luggage so they might be coming back.
I have included a photo of my blister in this post for you all to enjoy as much as I am. Its one the bottom of my foot so everytime I stand up, it hurts.
I was briefly joined by a man who seemed rather serious but he has now gone. Only three more hours to go. I just pray my ipod battery lasts.
I'm now sharing a compartment with two sleeping Czechs. It's cloudier here than in Vienna. Maybe that means its cooler and I won't boil to death on the walk to the hostel. An hour and a half to go...
I hope there are lots of plugs in this hostel room. I need to charge my phone, my ipod and my camera.
Almost in Prague. If I look out one window I can see sun. If I look out the other its grey sky. Please don't rain!
19:15 and I'm finally in Prague. Now I just need to find the hostel!
Eww!
ReplyDeleteBut haha to the bit about putting your head out the window!
