I've got two blisters on my foot and ice cream on my shorts. I'm covered in sweat and suncream.
I decided instead of taking the metro and spending money I would walk round all the sights. I am now regretting it. I have run out of water and coke is expensive.
I know that was a very moaney start but I am actually enjoying Budapest. Its a beautiful place. The Parliament building is gorgeous (if you can describe a building as that). I am sure my photos won't do it justice. It is just a shame that it is being worked on as its a bit of a building site at the moment.
I got caught up with all the Chinese and German tourist groups at the palace and the Matias Church but I easily skirted round them. I am currently sitting on a bench by the river, taking a break from my walk (trek) back to the hostel for more water and a good rest before heading out again later.
I need to find a blindfold as the hostel I am in has no curtains and I was awoken by the sun pouring in at 5am this morning. Although on the plus side it meant I was up and out by 9 oclock.
Carrying on back to the hostel now. Day 2 - to be continued
